That was Pittsburghese for the following: Is anyone headed to the PittsburghExpo this year? If so, I'll be the one in the navy T-shirt with a white maltese cross and lettering on the back!

Actually I do recommend it, as it is a good show.

Hey Stayback, I won't be going to Pittsburgh, but if you have a chance to go to Baltimore for the Firehouse Expo, let me know and perhaps we can link up. I'll be attending on Friday, July 19.

I love the title of your post. I went to WVU in Morgantown and there were a whole raft of folks there from Pittsburgh. In fact, some of us used say we went to the University of Southern Pittsburgh. Met some great people from there, but yeah, they kind of talk funny.

I know what a "sammitch" is, but "drinkn a pop", everyone knows that its either a Coke or a Dr. Pepper, never a "pop". Can I get a witness from my fellow Texans!

As much as I would love to be there, alas I cannot...my
navy T-shirt with a white maltese cross and lettering on the back
is scheduled to be cleaned and re lettered that week.

    Ya'll have good time.
    I would...but no!

    LMFAO

    In Canada:

Pop = coke, pepsi, 7up, whatever

    Soda = Club Soda

    Wobbly Pop = BEER

CJ -- Can't make it to Baltimore this year, perhaps next year.

NJFFS -- The Pittsburgh Pigeons just didn't sound very good.

    hehe... Pittsburgh Pigeons

Stayback- I'm on the other side of the "tubes".

NJFFS- Not to take your post too serious, but you had me wondering....The name came from a former owners wife (and newspaper contest). The Civic Arena= The Big Igloo= Pittsburgh Penguins.

From an email I got awhile back...

Coke, no wonder it tastes sooooo good...

In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries 2 gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in two days.

The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its PH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days.

The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years.

To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the "Hazardous Material" place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.

you can also use coke to clean your toilet.

hey baker, that's correct. in texas pop refers to a sound or popcorn or even those poprocks. that took awhile for me to understand when i went to montana. and everything in texas is coke no matter if it's pepsi, sprite, 7 up or anything but dr pepper.
