Workers continue in Winston Salem
The fire have slowed somewhat, Heavy "Summertime Thunderstorms" have been happening for the last few days.
3800 Blk of Old Lexington Rd. Unoccupied 1-story house Heavy fire showing through the roof. E-5,11,A-2, and C-2 were first alarm. 1 additional Engine requested (E-16) and Air resource 1. Engine crews mounted an aggressive interior, While the Truck company provided search/and rescue. No victims were in the structure. Fire was suspicious in origin, Assigned to Fire Marshall's office.
3612 Cornell Blvd. 1 story house. Working fire in kitchen area. E-5,16,A-2 and C-2. Crews did quick knock down and confined damage to kitchen area only.
2000 Blk of Locust Ave. 2 story wood frame well involved. E-3,12,A-1, and C-3. Additional Engine requested (E-4) and Air resource 1. Crews did excellent job, fire had good head start. No injuries.
1841 Leight St. 1 story wood frame. Kitchen fire due to unattended food on the stove. E-11,5, A-2, and C-2. Fire was out on arrival of 1st in company. Home owner put fire out. Damage est. at $3000.
