Below is a copy of the letter that my dept. has sent out to a couple hundred departments in West Virginia and bordering states. I doubt there is anyone on the forums close enough to beable to participate, but I thought I'd try. If anyone is interested, e-mail me.
The Rivesville Volunteer Fire Department and the Paw Paw Fair Association will hold their annual Fair Parade on July 23, 2002, in Rivesville, West Virginia. Your department is cordially invited to participate. The lineup will begin at 5 PM, and the parade at 6 PM.
Trophies will be awarded by the Paw Paw Fair Association for the following:
1. Best Appearing Class A Engine (1000 GPM and up)
2. Best appearing EMS unit
3. Furthest distance traveled
4. Most personnel in uniform
5. Oldest fire apparatus
6. Best appearing tanker
7. Most units in parade
8. Best appearing initial attack pumper
9. Oldest fire apparatus, non-fire department
10. Judges pick
Refreshments will be served immediately following the parade at the fire hall for all fire, police, and EMS personnel.
We would greatly appreciate your participation by attending this years parade.

Too Bad you posted this so close to parade time, I would seriously consider going. Love to parade (and I NEED a vacation)
Any way wish you much luck with your parade! Hope it is a large sucess. If we did an invitation like that the parade would be hours long. We had a parade that included 3 counties one time and had 86 departments in the line up. WE thought that was tough let alone inviting the STATE and neighboring states.
Again good luck.
