    Wink Saving MUTTS?

    Gonzo County, Mass?
BOSTON- (AP) - A fire forced the evacuation of dogs, cats,
iguanas and other ailing creatures from a Boston animal hospital
    and shelter on Tuesday.
The blaze broke out at the Angell Memorial Animal Hospital and
the MSPCA Boston Animal Shelter at about 8:30 a.m. in a machine
room, spreading smoke to other parts of the facility.
The second floor machine room houses air conditioning, heating
and electrical units for the entire building.
It took Boston firefighters about 45 minutes to extinguish the
blaze, and a short time later patients were carried, or led on
    leashes, back to their rooms.
There were no reports of injuries to humans or animals,
    according to fire officials.
Cats and dogs were taken to other area shelters, or went home
temporarily with hospital staff, said John Bowen, vice president of
    development and external affairs.
    Officials said the shelter would remain closed indefinitely;
however, staff from the shelter will be available to direct those
arriving with pets to other area shelters and hospitals, Bowen
    said.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known, but damages
were estimated at $50,000, said Ron Caron, a spokesman for the
    Boston Fire Department.

Thanks Stan...but I've been domesticated, potty trained and instructed on the politically correct use of the "M" word!!

This was definitely one of those instances!

The Boston Fire Department not only saved the "mutts" but the kitties, birds and lizards too!

Angell Memorial Animal Hospital is one of the "cutting edge" veterinary hospitals in the country.

It's not Gonzo county, but close enough!

Let's hear it for saving the animals......and while I'm at it, if the Web Team doesn't like the inference of the word "MUTT" used by the FD to describe dirtbags, they should try spending more time in their Firehouses. Sorry to be Politically Incorrect-but the term is as common as the word mutual!
