This may not be the right category for this post so please forgive me if I am mistaken.

Today I had a discussion with administration about the up coming Fill The Boot campaign. Over the last few years I have noticied that interest in Fill The Boot has dwindled within our department and has now all but gone away. I have noticed this from ALL levels within our department not just administration. In fact it appears that we will not be collecting at all this year. Some of the reasons that I have heard that interest is falling is the question "Where is "Jerry's Money" realy going?", another is that I always have trouble getting people to come in off duty and getting the duty crews out there and also hearing complaints from the public about collecting in public. One of the wishes by our department is that we focus more on local charities when collecting for money. What I would like to know is if any other departments are following suit by either not collecting anymore or are noticing that their departments are scaling back MDA Operations and why.
