    Default Wyoming

    Anndee Huber
    May 22, 2003

Anndee Huber, a 10th grade Fire Explorer, was ejected from the cab of the fire truck, May 22, 2003, when driver Ron J. Caillier, 46, of Newcastle, lost control of the vehicle, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol. After Anndee's death, the firefighter at the wheel, Ronald Caillier, was charged with drunken driving.

The tragedy has led to calls for a ban on alcohol in firehouses in Wyoming and elsewhere around the country.

While she lacked "crust" she was up and coming in the fire service and showed great promise. If any good came from her death, it was bringing the alcohol issue to the forefront.
