What are these people thinking? This sounds like a "celebration" rather than a remembrance of a tragic, solemn event. Fireworks? Do we have fireworks on December 7th? NO...and I feel this is inappropriate.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Birmingham will remember the Sept. 11
terrorist attacks on New York and Washington with the dedication of
a downtown mural, fireworks and an interfaith service on the first
anniversary of the attacks.
The mural will be dedicated to emergency workers, city officials
said.
Other events taking place from morning through evening on Sept.
11 include a wreath-laying in Linn Park, a blood drive and a
celebration for fire and police departments.
The fireworks display will take place on Red Mountain.
