Michigan Firefighters vs. Revenue Sharing Cuts

To all my Michigan brothers and sisters,

We need to e-mail our political representatives NOW and let them know that if Gov. Englers veto of the revenue sharing that will effect every fire department in this state is not overridden, they will not get our votes regardless of party affiliation. I ask you to write your house and senate representatives today and let them know of your disgust with this illconcieved political move by the Governor. Both houses will reconvene on August 13, 2002 for the consideration of the veto override.Total of $845 million in cuts to Fire and Police depts across the state is at stake.
