Thanks Baby
Just wanted a chance to thank my wife for her support of me on getting back into the volunteer fire department. If it wasn't for her support, I couldn't do it.. Thank you, Sunshine...
Also a big thanks to all the wives, husbands, and children that support their spouses, fathers and mothers as both paid and volunteer Fire fighters and EMS Personnel...

Welcome
Welcome to the forum.
Katherine, I said this before to other people that though about joining and I'll say it again. Go ahead and join. If you don't like it then quit, but at least you tried it for yourself.
Good luck!

Hi Katherine,
Nice to meet you, I am considering volunteering also. Drop in on us on the "Greetings from a non-firefighter" thread sometime. It's a great place to learn.
Have a great day and God Bless

Try it you'll like it
I am on the other side of the coin. I just finished EMT-B classes and received my cert. My husband is now thinking of becoming just a first responder so he can drive the ambulance. He has supported me through the whole thing we are even moving to the town in which I vol. so I don't have to stay on station if I don't feel like it. My husband and I love to be together and use to work together years ago so when he told me he wanted to be able to drive for me I was thrilled. So I say once again TRY IT YOU'LL LIKE IT.

She would use it, I wouldn't...
Now we would never gang up on you, for a while I thought it was you 2 against me...
Yes, she does and so do I...

Ganging up......
now really Mr. Medic!!!! You should know better than to think that I would ever partake in ganging up on anyone
I can imagine that it is difficult when you are separated, but you are both strong and your bind to each other is powerful (if I am any judge). You both have a wonderful thing and that is as it should be!
Have a glorious day!!!!!!
Warmest wishes and kindest regards

Katherine,
Good communication will be found here. It is critical for our profession. Just as critical as it is in our marriages. I am glad to see you giving your Medic Hubby all the support (shoulder to shoulder) Right On!
HAPPY Anniversary!!!!
Fraternally, JW
