I have started to think about an idea of trying to get a special MCI vehicle set up in case of such an incident. I also know of different depts. having these made and others (rehab units, light units, etc). How many of your vollie squads run special apparatus and what do you use for them. For an MCI vehicle I was thinking along the lines of a 18' box van or something similar. Any ideas?

...or a box trailer. I've seen a few of those across the internet, but I don't know anybody around here that actually has a MCI unit.
Reason I'm thinking a trailer is you don't have to pay insurance on a trailer, you aren't going to use this MCI unit very often (I hope!), and if you can tow it behind a brush truck or engine then you can drop the MCI trailer and use the other vehicle in other roles.Bryan Beall
