Thank you for your reply. I love being a firefighter. I am also the secretary for my dept. as only one other person is computer friendly. There is about 20 of us and it is an excellent dept. with a lot of enthusiasm. I am looking forward to putting in many more years of service.

With you enthusiasm I am sure you will go far in your department, also remember even though you love you job, remember to take time away so you don't burn out and lose your enthusiasm...

    Hey Susan

I'm a little south and west of ya! The forums here are great. I have made a lot of friends and tapped a lot of resources. I hope you have the same good experience.

    Default Thanks from Canada

Thanks everyone who has replied to me. I will definately try to not let the red devil get me. Took SCBA training and did great this time. First time I had a BA on, I bombed, thought I could outbreathe the regulator and felt like I couldn't get enough air. No this time though, so am glad to have that passed and over with and start going in to the buildings with the big boys now.We are a volunteer dept. and I am secretary as well as firefighter so it does take a lot of my time sometimes but I do try to regulate it so I don't get burnout.
Thanks again from a rookie firefighter,

    Susan

Welcome to another Canadian Sister. Stick with Temptaker...she is sharp (no pun intended) and she will show you the ropes. We have a lot of fun on here and also get serious some times.
