Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm going into my second year with USFS, and hopefully I get picked up with them on a Hot Shot crew, so anybody out their that can give me any advice, i would trully love appreciate it. My goal though is to become a firefighter/parammedic. I have a long way to go. Iris![]()

Your on the right track, I did the same back in my day. I was on the Tujunga ranger district of ANF and then was on Bear Divide Hotshots for four years.Enjoy it while it last. It will go by very fast. I have already been doing this for 19 years now and I am currently in Utah on a Firefighter/Paramedic unit.
Just keep you chin up and work hard for what you want and chances are you will get there.
Front line since 1983 and still going strong
