Question 4th edition Essentials software question

Question - Has anyone had any experience good or bad with any of the available study software for the 4 edition of the Essentials of Firefighting. I have found three vendors. One is: Knightlite Software offers "Firefighter 1 and 2 Study Helper". The second is a CD Rom based program that is sold with the Essentials textbook and another by Dynamic Information Services aka Rapid Fire. What was good or valuable about the software? What you didn't like. Is study software even worth the $$investment? Thanks.

The only one that I am familiar with is the Essentials 4th Edition CD Study Guide. We use it with our fire academy classes and have had good results. It seems easy enough to use and it is an effective tool to reinfornce the lessons. Also, some members have used it in preparation of promotional exams. Again, it seems to do well with that application. One more thing, Essentials 4th has been out for a few years. You might look around and see if they are preparing to release an Essentials 5th. Seems like they update every few years. Good luck...
