The Smith Mountain Lake Volunteer Fire Company currently boasts (Floats ??) a fleet of 7 various Fire & EMS Equiped boats.

They have a wep page (mostly under construction) http://www.smlv.com/fire/smlmvfc/smlmvfc.htm which includes several pictures and a contact e-mail address. You might want to drop them a note.

The local USCG has recently put this boat into service. The .50cal mount swaps out with a 1500gpm monitor.

    Can anyone say "Sitting Duck?"

And with the monitor attached I wonder how fast it would push you away from the fire. (and a 5 plb. anchor isn't going to slow it down.)
