    Default Forensic mapping

Anyone using forensic mapping for fire scenes? If so what equipment, software, CAD program, etc are you using. What has or has not worked if you have changed equipment.

I have used a program called FireZone before that is pretty good for basic scene maps and sketches. I have mainly used it for doing pre-planning, but there have been a few instances where I have needed the investigation portion of it. It is basically a fire department version of Autocad. If you are familiar with Autocad, it is fairly easy to use. I'm sure there is other software of this type out there, but I don't know any others that are still available.
