Anyone using forensic mapping for fire scenes? If so what equipment, software, CAD program, etc are you using. What has or has not worked if you have changed equipment.

I have used a program called FireZone before that is pretty good for basic scene maps and sketches. I have mainly used it for doing pre-planning, but there have been a few instances where I have needed the investigation portion of it. It is basically a fire department version of Autocad. If you are familiar with Autocad, it is fairly easy to use. I'm sure there is other software of this type out there, but I don't know any others that are still available.IACOJ Military Division
