On Sunday morning at 7:00a.m. The Moulton Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire on Al.Hwy.33 2 miles south of The City of Moulton.
Upon arrival by Tanker 19 at 7:06a.m. the firefighters on board reported a 2-story wood house fully involved.Engine 20 arrived at 7:08 and laid 350' of 5" supply line to the fire.
Due to the age and condition of the wood in the house,it made for a very difficult job but with both an interior and exterior(deck gun) attack and very good work by the Firefighters on the scene,the house is still standing and 2 rooms were not burned at all.
The Moulton Fire Dept. was assisted on this fire by the Speake Fire Department personnel.The cause of the fire is unknown but the occupants who were at home stated they saw fire around the T.V. set when the fire was first discovered.
Equipment responding: Tanker 19, Engine 20, Engine 14,Engine 901,and Tanker 905 along with a total of 21 firefighters.
