    Alot of departments, mine included, are using behavioral descriptive interviewing techniques. The key to this style of interview is the format in which you answer. You are expected to give your responses in the STAR format. S-situation T-task A-actions taken R-results of your actions. You can find alot of info online by typing behavioral descriptive interview in the search window of your browser.

    Question promotional Interview Questions and tips

    I am sitting for a Batallion Chief's promotional board next week and am looking for information or tips from anyone who has sat for this type of interview before, or, has been part of the board. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Thanks for all the help from everyone. I've recently had an interview with a career FD. Will keep you posted on results. Special thanks to Cap. Bob for all the advice. I can truly tell that NOTHING counts until you have that badge. I went for the nuggets!!!
