    Question Msa Tic System

I'm LOOKING for your opinions on the MSA TIC (4000 & 5000)

Please give me your opinions and experiences with them. I know the 5000 is brand new but has anyone used one yet.

    Thanks

The MSA 4000 is a vanadium oxide microbolometer, with a sensor of 320 x 240 pixels. Several other manufacturers use a similar sensor and engine core, so there is a track record for this system in the fire service.

The MSA 5000 uses a vanadium oxide sensor, but it is only 160 x 120 pixels. This particular sensor and engine core do not have any track record in the fire service, and MSA has not shipped any regular production product to fire departments.
