The fire department's high-angle rescue team moved in today after a crane operator died of a heart attack high above the ground.

Workers on the site noticed the crane circling round and round so three of them climbed the crane to investigate.

The 63 year old man operating the crane was not breathing and had no pulse.

The workers performed CPR while someone down below called 911, but it was too late.

The fire department's high angle rescue team got the body down - not an easy job, because the cab was more than 30 metres above the ground.

A paramedic had already determined there was no point in continuing CPR.
