About LinkBacksSpring Hill firefighters responded to a reported fire in a 40' Observation Tower in Hernando Beach Park on Shoal Line Blvd. Upon arrival they discovered the fire had burned itself out.
The tower overlooks the Gulf of Mexico and provides a panoramic view of the surrounding marsh land as well as the Gulf. Although there was minimal damage to the tower it was closed until repairs could be made.
The fire believed to have been started by Vandals is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office.
