Ahhhhhh.... Now that I have your attention, just a few thoughts. As the snow is starting to fly it reminds me that we are entering the always hectic holiday season. We all know that the number of fires increase this time of year. My wish to you if you have to work this Thanksgiving, may it be a day filled with turkey and football. If you are off like me,enjoy and appreciate your family and friends. I personally am hoping to survive our annual "Turkey Bowl" Thursday. If you are one of the brothers and sisters who are "always on duty", I hope your pagers and sirens stay quiet. A pipe dream to be sure, but it really got hammered home with yesterdays deaths in Oregon. Happy Holidays to all of you !

Same to you, but more of it!
God bless all of our families on this holiday, also. They are every bit as scared as the callers when those tones go off!

I think Mikey is the only turkey around here, what with that subject line.
Happy Thanksgiving to all, and an inverted wish to Kiwi, Lutan, and all the other upside downers in the southern hemisphere!

Good can come from Bad
Is it just possible that the Oregon incident will put a stop to the usual career vs. volunter talk. I don't think the fire new the difference. When it comes to the job, everyone works together and at times dies together. Just an aside, wish we could convince the mutts of this.

Kiwi, can you do me a big favour and post an upside down kangaroo wearing a santa hat. Knowing your legendary computer abbilities it should take you all of about 30 seconds to organise this.

I too was gearing up to at least read some very heated
discussions, and wasn't going to open, but I figured 2
pages and thread is still going. Curiosity got me.
Gald it did.
