The I.A.C.O.J. is an organization founded on these forums by Captain Gonzo who is now the president. I.A.C.O.J. stands for International Association of Crusty Old Jakes. Please visit our website @ www.iacoj.com to learn a little more about us.

    What is a Mutt?

A Mutt is someone or thing that will abuse and mistreat a Firefighter. This can be the City, the Mayor, the Chief in Charge, the habitual caller, or the homeless Person who starts a fire and leaves.
These are people that have never crawled down a hall or made the last room in an effort to do their job.

    Default A minor detail!

    resqtek:
I'm glad you noticed that some of us tag our posts with IACOJ. The acronym is in all upper case letters. You may also have noticed that there is a BMI division of the IACOJ. It stands for "Bureau of Mutt Investigation". Please keep in mind that the Webteam does not like the use of the word "mutt" to be used liberally. They also have an abiding disdain for mutts, as many on the team are firefighters also. Lewiston2Capt was too kind with his description of a mutt. I will add that that class of canine would also include any firefighter brother or sister who shows a total lack of regard for their fellow firefighters' safety and causes them serious injury or death. In the dictionary under "mutt", it says "see Alan Baird III".
My signature usually says IMACOJ and proud of it-because I am.
    Stay safe. Hug a COJ.

Resqtek, just to let you in on a personal secret, I add that BOHICA Office tag on my signature because it seems I am always in there. It is a common military term, but it can be applied anywhere. Anybody else is free to join me in this office if they wish, though I wouldn't know why they would want to. I believe there is also a DILLIGAF Office down the hall, but I haven't been in there yet. If anyone else has any experience with these canine founded/firefighter run offices, I would love to hear about them!
