Our visitor, "Carbrit" is a volunteer firefighter from Paraguay.

There are two things that he may be asking for. One is SOPs for extrications. The other possibility is an SOP for Safe Parking, the skills necessary for positioning emergency vehicles at a crash scene. I will send him that document directly.

Anybody else want to help out?

    1. Park where the pump panel is protected
    2. Park where your Firefighters are protected
    3. Park where the scene is protected.

    IN THAT ORDER.

Your safety is first. The people at the scene are already hurt, your job is to help them, not join them.

    4. do a 360 sweep of the scene
    5. Hazard check, live wires, fuel spills etc.
    6. Form a plan of action
    7. Get to work

That just about sums up our procedures on arrival.
Psychiatrists state 1 in 4 people has a mental illness.
Look at three of your friends, if they are ok, your it.
