On Saturday November 29,at 5:37p.m. the Moulton Al.Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire 2.5 miles north of the City.911 advised that callers were reporting a fully involved house at this location.Engine 20 went in service at 5:40p.m.and Engine 14 at 5:42p.m. Engine 20 arrived at 5:46 and notified all responding units of a 1 story wood frame fully involved with exposure to a mobile home approximately 3 to 4' away.The officer on Engine 20 quickly used the deluge gun on this truck along with one blitz line to attempt to keep the fire off the mobile home. Additional units were requested to assist Moulton bringing 2 more departments to the scene.
After hard work by all involved and fighting a 25 mph wind blowing toward the mobile home,the fire was declared under control at 8:44p.m.
There was a total loss to the house and moderate roof damage to the mobile home(but it is still there and contents were saved).
Units responding:Engines 14,16,20 from Moulton and 2 Engines from neighboring dept.'s along with approx.25 firefighters.
