    Default fire fighting foam

Has anyone had any experience using a product called Fireaide 2000. Salesman makes it sound great but....Also fuelbuster? or f500. We will be using this as a tank mix on our quick attack truck.

We have used F500 and found it to be very effective, when used properly. One very important fact is this is not foam. It is an encapsulant and it must be mixed with the flammable liquid to be effective. It does not suppress the vapors with a foam blanket like class B foam does. Our Haz-Mat team carries the F500 now but the engine companies have switched back to a foam concentrate.

We have used both and still use AFFF. There has been several posts about these products in the past. Please remember what RKETTLE said it is encapsulant and must be mixed somewhat with the burning liquid.

    Default Fire-Aide 2000

We carry Fire-Aide 2000 in all of our foam tanks on our engines. We still have AFFF on the Quint and the ARFF truck at the airport. We have found that Fire-Aide works well at a low % on stubborn insulation smoldering during overhaul.

Because massfire bumped them all with a reply. Like someone else said in another one of the topics, proably a salesman.

I just looked, he's posted in 8 different threads (just today) and all are spouting about Fireade.

Oh no...he's not a salesman. He just uses the stuff and wants to "set some people straight." [/sarcasm]

True. But...it's also 4.5 years old at this point. Now, had you responded to ONLY one thread about the product, you probably would have gotten a free pass, and even generated some discussion. However, by bumping several (by one count...8!) threads, you've spammed the boards.

You might have even been better off starting a whole new thread. Might.

    Are you associated with massfire.com?

Which is a dealer of (wait for it, boys) firefighting foam.

I checked again out of curiosity, I count 19 posts in 10 threads. Keep searching bud, maybe you can hit 100 before the day's up. Maybe you can annoy some more customers away from you company.
