Firefighters find $10,000 stashed in discarded furniture

Milwaukee-AP -- Talk about dropping some change between the couch cushions.
Firefighters in the Milwaukee metropolitan area found ten-thousand dollars stashed in a piece of furniture they picked up from the curb and used for a training exercise.
The furniture burned but the money was found intact.
The money has been turned over to police in suburban Brown Deer. If no one claims it, it will become the property of the village.
Authorities aren't saying much about the furniture to avoid false claims on the money.
