A 4 alarm house fire started around 7:00 Friday night. A neighbor called 911 saying a house was on fire on Hwy 43. Fernwood fire department responded immediantly. The neighbor called back and siad flames were showing. Fernwood then called in for a 2 and 3 alarms. Bringing out all of Fernwood FD and Magnolia FD. Then fernwood called for a 4 alarm bringing out tankers form Sunnyhill FD. About 5 minitues after the first trucks were on scene the top collapsed. Magnolia called Fernwood asking if they need anymore assistance Fernwood applied no " it is already on the ground". Entergy was called to cut power and Pike county sheriffs office to control traffic. FD's left at 10:00 pm. No one was home at the time of this fire.
