Sorry everyone, but it looks like I'm gonna miss the party because if the horrendous fire weather forecasts are correct for the next few days I reckon I'll be needed on the fireline. Sunday is shaping up to be an absolute total disaster in Sydney. Please raise a glass to all the Aussie Brothers and Sisters who will be hard at work over the coming days as we will probably be away from families for Christmas

Damn girl. That's desert. We may have to send out for some extra holes in the belt.

May I make a motion, please?

I move that the IACOJ Christmas Party be extended to include the IACOJ New Year's Eve Party.

    Mr. President?

We need some help in the front yard. Looks like an injury accident and possibly a haz-mat. There are eight or nine four legged animals with horns tangled up in the forty foot christmas tree and a sleigh on the ground. There are black lumps of something scatttered about and worst of all, about one hundred cases of Guinness scattered about.

There is also an older gentlemen with a white beard and a red suit clinging to the chimney.

He keeps mumbling something about weight and balance on the cargo in the sleigh and who hosed down the roof to make it icy. Whoever did it will get a black lump instead of the Guinness.

I volunteer to work on the team recovering the Guinness.

    Merry Christmas to All

Oh the weather outside is frightful
    But the crusties are delightful
Guess who has no place to go?
    Cdevoe, cdevoe, cdevoe!

    The webteam so abhorred him
And the crusties all ignored him
He bothered all of us so...
    Cdevoe, cdevoe, cdevoe!

    When he finally said goodbye
He had to go and pull an LHS
And when the BeerGod did arrive
Who he was we all could guess!

So the webbies got rid of that one
And he told another fat one
    He took another avatar...
    V.O.R., V.O.R., V.O.R.!

    But we know, cdevoe's, V.O.R.
    But we know, cdevoe's, Veee.....Ooooo....Arrrrrrrrrr!

    Cdevoe the red nose alcholic,
    liked to drink and frolic.

And if you ever saw him,
you could say he was kinda slow.

All the other firefighters used to
    laugh and call him names.

    They never let poor Cdevoe
    join the IACOJ or anything.

Cdevoe with your siren so loud,
will you be the incident commander tonight?

    Default Tube lights are cool!

Who put the tube lights in the snow on the front lawn that spell out "It's an IACOJ Christmas"?
    Those aren't tube lights?
Adze; have you been peeing in the snow and have you been to a recent hazmat spill?
    It's still pretty, though.
    Can someone freshen my drink?
Tempie; how about offering me some of that?
    Cheffie; got anything creme filled?
When are the DUGs suppose to get here?
    HELLO? HELLOOOOOOOO!
Cool; Conga line. Bop bop bop bop-bop; BOP!
    Ouch; MEDIC!

Hey Gonzo, what about the awards? We need an awards ceremony. Certainly numerous members of this esteemed organization should be recongnized for their years achievements, actions and bannings.

    Talking cheffie to the rescue

I see there is a one-eyed snake loose causing problems. I have my saute pan ready. Where is he, I'll just chop him up and saute him!

I'll be back shortly with some desserts for you Chief. Have to go check the oven. The aroma of fresh bread baking.... the cream puffs rising in the oven... as she slices up some bananas.. tosses them in a NEW saute pan with a little butter and cinnamon....maybe a little brandy to flambe them.....

Oh man I just had a horrible realization. We went out to a little Gulfstream a couple of days ago that flew in from SF. I could've asked them to fly Cheffie up here from the party on their next trip. That way she could have uhm well she could have uh let's see, uh oh yeah now I've got it, she could have restocked the smoked salmon and gooey duck supply for the party. Crimminy, guess that I was just too distracted by Sara the Flight Attendant's uhm her uh her homemade fudge and airplane cookies

and I promised her that I wouldn't tell a soul that she didn't recognize her own pilot when he got back on the plane so if she asks, I didn't tell ok?

Default I didn't want to brag, but.....

I wasn't going to say anything, but since we have members bringing celebrities, I heard from a friend. Some of you might think he is famous. Thought I would share it with you.
The message on the card read:

    Dear Chief;

I am sending thank yous to all of our nation's fire chiefs for a job well done.
It had been an early goal of mine to be a fire chief, but I had to settle for this job. Well, it's a paycheck.(haha)
On most days, my job is a breeze compared to yours.
But now that my home town of Crawfordsville has fire equipment, I can go home from time to time and ride on a fire truck and play with the siren.
Best wishes for a safe holiday season.

    Your President,
    W.
    P.S.
    Did you hear about Joe?
