We need help~ Need gear~ Donations Greatly Appreciated
We, among many others, were turned down for the USFA/FEMA Grant. The fire gear we currently use is about 12 yrs old, and deteriorating quickly. Any help that you could give ( donations or advice on fundraisers ) would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You ,Capt. Walker

your best bet is trying ebay.Thats where we get most of our equipment from, anything from SCBA's to PASS devices, turnout gear, nozzles, hose, etc. Most of the stuff we got from over there is used but in VERY good condition..and it was dirt cheap due to that we hardly have any budget at all and we rely on donations as well but even donations(monetary wise) is very slim to none so we must pull the funds from our own pockets. Most companies nowadays no longer pass on thier used equipment due to liability issues,at least so were told, unless its a major city Department.Another reason is because of low budgeting so they want to keep what they have until its no longer useable or salvageable so unfortunately most of us have to rely on sources such as ebay.
Good Luck and happy holidays,
