    Default firefighter stamp

There is a National drive to have Firefighters recognised with a stamp. I have Written my Member of Parliment, Scott Brison and also Honorable Andre Ouellet,P.C.,Q.C. President and Cheif Executive Officer of Canada Post Cororation and Chairmanof the Stamp Advisory Committee. When writing M.P's postage is free if instead of a stamp you write "Franking" in the top right hand corner of the envelope.

If Parliament takes as long to commemorate the stamp as it has to pass pension reform for firefighters we should see it around 2020. Maybe we will see 3 positives by then; the stamp, pension reform, Chretien retires.

How about we negotiate a trade with the US. We'll give them Jean Chretien and Celine Dion for 2 Canadian dollars. That would amount to 2 loonies for 2 losers.

I'd much rather see Firefighters honored with a National Firefighters Day than a stamp.

    Chretien retires.

Ok then, I'll give you $2.00 to take both of them. I'll even sweeten the pot with a dozen Canadian beer, your choice of brand.

    Thumbs up

If you haven't already, check out the December issue of Firefighting in Canada, pg. 11.

It would appear Canada Post is issuing a stamp to pay tribute to the Canadian Volunteer Firefighter. It is due out in May of this year.

    Check out info @ www.canadapost.ca.
