When I went to turn on the television show "NewsRadio" today, I discovered that the network had taken it off the air(hopefully only temporarily for New Year's). While consulting the TVGuide to find another show to watch in it's place as I ate my lunch, I found that Emergency! was on. It was on a small local channel, however, so I don't know how many of you guys would get it. Anyways, I can watch some of it.
The episode I saw involved one of the RescueSquad51's firefighters not being able to sleep. There was a boat that got hit while being transported on the back of a tractor, a kid that fell down a pile of rocks, a "heart attack" victim that actually came in contact with some weed killer that was poisonous.

Emergency is on here... but only Saturday nights, and you have to stay up until Midnight to watch it.... the last 3 weeks I have fallen asleep during the last 20 minutes....

EMERGENCY is hilarious
The show emergency is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. But there is one thing i don't get. Why do they wear only partial turnouts during the day and in one episode, when they woke up in the morning, they wore full turnouts to go to a fire. Why wouldn't they wear full turnouts for all the fires they go to? But the show is very interesting to watch.

probably has something to do with the fact that the show was filmed during the 70's when 'modern' firefighting as we know it today was just begining to take form.
