We're dispatched by the sheriff's office, so our dispatch is....... wait for it.........

    S.O.

If we need mutual aid that the SO can't get us, or need to get ahold of a hospital (when they're ignoring the radio) we switch channels to Central ECC. In Arkansas, the ECC (emergency communications center) is run by the state, and hears and records all. Central ECC is for those of us in the center of the state. Northwest ECC is for those in the Fayettenam area. ECC is awesome, because if someone is ignoring or cant hear their radio, they'll call them on the phone until they answer. Sometimes, you're not on the right freq or whatever, and they help you out.

Our (almost) county wide dispatch center went online on another frequency recently have have since changed the callnames a few times...
Prior to the aquisition the fire dispatch was "470" and the police dispatch was "333" (could be the same person answering both radios). Right at the transfer, the whole dispatch center went to "county control" for all frequencies...A few days later a memo came out saying it is now "Berkshire County Control"...Then yet a few more days later, another memo...I guess the Sheriff that runs the comm center wanted some recognition, so now it is "Berkshire Sheriff's Control"...The dispatchers answer to any combination thereof. It's still taking some getting used to...I've slipped up a few times and said "470" still...
The comments made by me are my opinions only, not of the Fire and EMS services I am affiliated with.

I have lost my mind..has anyone seen it? it's not worth much..but it's mine
