Let's hope this helps keep the Senators playing in Ottawa. And, not bought by some big dollar group and moved to a large market out of Canada.Be Safe
GOD BLESS the U.S.A. and FDNY

Respect? Trottier gets none!
(New York-AP) -- Bryan Trottier is out after just 54 games as
the New York Rangers' head coach. Trottier was dismissed today with
the team occupying the Atlantic Division cellar at 21-26-6-and-1.
The former New York Islanders great replaced Ron Low last June
after serving as an assistant with the Colorado Avalanche. The
Rangers played wildly inconsistent hockey under Trottier, despite a
league-high 70 (m) million-dollar payroll.
New York currently is four points out of an Eastern Conference
playoff berth after losing three straight by a combined score of
16-to-5. Two of those losses came to the Atlanta Thrashers, who
vacated the Eastern Conference cellar with last night's 5-to-2 win
over the Rangers.
A New York radio station (W-F-A-N) says Trottier will be
replaced by assistant coach Jim Schoenfeld or vice president of
player development Tom Renney. Rangers assistant Terry O'Reilly
also could be considered for the job.

Move the Team?
I don't think that anybody in a remotely sober condition would even buy a NHL team. Next years labor negotiations will definitely leave a brutal strike on the table.
The NHL players are ten times more hard line union then baseball even thought to be. They will not give in to caps at all. Hopefully they won't shut down because of their rich history.
I hope they don't leave your neck of the woods, as much as I want hockey in Houston...it just doesn't sound the same.
Jeff
