    Default EMS Scanner Jumping

It has come to my attention of the constant battle between County or City EMS and private owned ambulance services. The problem is occuring when the privately owned squads jump the scanner 'so to speak' and beat the 911 call list squad to the scene. The question is how is this legal?

Good question. I have noticed it some, but very little here in Kanawha County (Putnam County as well) when Kanawha & Putnam County ambulances are getting beat to the scene priavely owned Duff Ambulance service.

    Default EMS Scanner Jumping

Of course the only way to stop this, is legally. If the privately owned squad shows up on scene of course the patient is going to let them trasnport he/she.
Then another problem with scanner jumping is the rate of speed the privately owned squad travels in order to beat the other ambulance!
