Pleasant Prairie, WI
House Fire

At around 0730 hrs, Pleasant Prairie Fire was dispatched to the 11100 blk of Sheridan Rd for a report of a house fire. Pleasant Prairie Pd arrived on scene and reported a working fire. First rig on scene reported heavy fire showing from all directions of the house. At this time command called in extra tankers to the scene. The extreme cold weather was also a factor creating icy conditions. Depts. on scene were; Kenosha Co. depts; Pleasant Prairie, Bristol, Salem, Somers, Paris, City of Kenosha, Randall; Illionis Depts; Beach Park, Gurnee, Newport, Waukegan, Winthrop Harbor, & Zion; Racine Co. Depts.; Mt. Pleasant & Racine Fire Bells. No one was injured from the fire. The cause of the fire was a wood burner stove left unattended. The house was completely destroyed, the only thing left standing was the garage.
