Hi everyone, I doubt that I am only one who noticed, but there has been a couple times when I have gone to firehouse.com and looked at the hotshots and the people in the pictures were not wearing their face masks. One time, there was a man in a window with smoke pouring out, and he did not have on his mask. Well, I guess that's it. I just wanted to bring this to people's attention.

No SCBA?

Why I have never been to a fire call, I have only first put SCBA on this past week and connected it to a tank. It would seem to me that there would be no reason to be with out it. There are the occasional emergencies, but other then that I don't see a reason.
We where told in class that sometimes crews would go into a building with out SCBA after the fire was out during salvage. Again why would you do it? It just does not seem worth taking the chance. Besides the known things that you know are in the air, you never know what other chemical products this house may have contained.
