Wow, now that's sharing resources, using a municiple bus to drain LDH, very smart.

    Where did you find these?

    Ain't gravity a bitch.

And are you telling me that no one else uses the bus tire method to make sure all the air is out of a line before packing it? I thought that was approved by IFSTA.

Let's think about the truck in the water in first place. Wooden dock. 35,000 (at least) truck. Every time I walk on a wooden dock the damn thing creaks and moans. And no, I don't need to hit Subway and walk everywhere either.

Oh, wait, the suction is supposed to go into the water, the truck stays dry!

I love how the red lights are still going, I wonder if the engine is still running too?

There are actually a lot of wooden docks in our neck of the woods which will take even a tractor-trailer. That shot looks like somebody forgot to set the chocks and the brakes let go. It appears to be a couple of SCUBA bottles on the dock (a fire fighter would never stand his bottle up that way), I'd love to know if they were part of the orriginal call or if they are going down to get tools for the orriginal call. Hehehe

The reason why aerial manufacturers can't win when selling apparatus to fire fighters. LOL. An ALF Century series dumped in the dirt. Might have something to do with it being set up in the grass. Just my thoughts.

Ok, on the ALF on the angle...a person (not a FF) bought the truck and took it to musters and car shows. His wife parked it, he went to raise the ladders. Soft ground, no outriggers, no idea what they were doing. Bad part was, it fell on a restored Seagrave pumper causing damage.

As for the Chief in the water...that's my Department and I can't offer any valid excuse for why he did it.

The ALF aerial is privately owned as Bones said and was at an antique equipment muster when he dumped it. In order to get the truck back on all fours they had to cut a section of the ladder off.....the owner was not too happy!

.. the owner should have known what the heck he was doing before he could have killed someone.
