Our department is considering using the CPAT after being prompted to make our current test less challenging. I have taken the CPAT and found it to be rather easy. Anyone else use this test for their Dept? Comments? Just looking for honest feedback on the effectiveness of the test in screening applicants.
Thanks!

As for an entry test, I believe the CPAT to be a very good test.
I have yet to see a test that simulates what we do without having firefighter knowledge better. It has some pretty heavy hitters in the Fire Department arena behind it, so it can't be all bad.Member IACOJ - Building crust and full of lust...

CPAT TEST
Our department used the test through the Technical College system. This is a great test that is validated and can stand up in court. Have you ever experienced defending yourself in court? Try it you will like it and you won't have to worry about that court thing!
