‘ANTHRAX' SCARE AT ESPN OFFICES
By LARRY CELONA
February 11, 2003 -- An ESPN marketing exec yesterday received a letter with white powder in it at the cable channel's Upper West Side office, sparking an anthrax scare.
Police said the letter, which was critical of an ESPN advertisement, read, "Just dance." Both the letter and envelope were handwritten, and it was mailed from the city, cops said.
The woman's secretary opened it 4:10 p.m. in the offices at 66th Street and Broadway and alerted cops. The substance was being tested at a lab, cops said.
