    Default weight vests

I was wondering if anyone has any expereince in using weight vests during running/jogging workouts. I am a runner (30 miles/week) and would probably use it on a treadmill in the firehouse. I have been doing research on my own and thought I might get some good feedback from fire fightgers.

I think that using a weight vest can be a valuable training tool on a stair stepper or something else like that but not on a treadmill or regular runnning because of the added stress it putsa on your joints. but that is just my two cents.

Weight vests are not a good idea when running, if you have say a 30 pound vest that's an extra 30 pounds of stress on your knees, ankles and legs generally, injury will almost certainly follow. Weight vests can be useful if you are training for wildland pack tests or hiking or similar.
