60 Firefighters in Minneapolis to be laid off
That's what I hear from the local news. Now, with war just around the corner, isn't there some way to keep these firefighters? Is there no emergency relief or anything? What will happen if there are terrorist attacks here in the US when the war starts. That's quite a significant cut in man power for Minneapolis. I really hope nothing happens.
Some FF's are being urged to retire early to help secure a few jobs for other FF's. But, then you lose experience. This really makes me mad. The politicians won't be the one's running to the emergency. They'll all go find some place safe while the firefighters with reduced manpower try and save their city. I'm just going to stop typing because this has all been talked about before. I just want to vent and hope someone has some encouraging words.
