    Default Gaining weight.

I have never had to gain weight but I would say the healthiest way to do so would be to build your muscle mass. This would involve a good weight program along with an accompanying diet. You can buy alot of diet suppliment powders which are made into shakes etc.

Most gyms would be able to write you the appropriate program.

    Goodluck.

A program that includes 2-3 days of weight training per week is a good rule of thumb. Pair that with a high protein diet (about 1gm of protein per lb of your body weight) and you should grow like a weed!

One other key that hasn't been mentioned here yet is that the weight training regimen needs to be one that uses heavier weights and lower repetitions. If you are just starting out, start with lighter weights to learn proper form before moving on to the heavier weights.
