No, my department does not conduct random drug tests. *BUT*

1. Any accident that involves department equiptment *can* require a drug test

2. I have a CDL as required by the department. Because of this, I AM subject to random drug tests by the DOT

In my department

1.) Every year you must pass a physical examation by a doctor that is chosen by the department

2.) If in a accident, Fire Department related you are required to take a drug test. If not you will not allowed to respond to any type of calls.

3.) Jr Member do not take the Physical, but in a accident like moving the command truck and hit something, you are required to take a drug test.

Durg tests are only done when you apply for a job with the department (City policy) and then they are conducted upon acceptance to the post
