    Default Application Numbers

Has anyone seen any numbers on the total of applications submitted so far?

    Or number started?

Last year FEMA sent out updates with this information. Not a big deal, just wondering.

    Have a good day

In one of the other threads someone had submitted and had #600 something. Almost 700 I believe. I'd venture to guess that the numbers will be about the same if not a little higher than last year.

    Talking Application #'s

A department next to us submitted theirs at 3pm this afternoon and was #1380. Their is 12,216 being worked on minus around 1400 submitted, leaving a lot of unfinished applications. What will more than likely happen will be like last year, a lot of depts. will wait until the very end and overload the server causing it to crash, and then they will have to extend it another week! Just my thoughts! Good luck to all!

    Thumbs up

Posted ours yesterday morning. We were 2,189 I also read that there are more than 17,000 applications started so far. That's only 2,500 less than were submitted last year. With still a week and a half to go, it will be interesting if more departments apply than last year. Everyone knows, the more that apply, the lower the chances of getting a grant. I'm not complaining. I encourage everyone to apply, but it's nice when the odds are better for our department.

    Cool Numbers will rise

If my memory serves me correctly , the numbers increased geometrically on the last week of the application period last year. I was 4600+ as of this am. I'll bet another 10,000+ hit the submit button this week.

I submitted our application last night and our number was 5711. I'm sure it will be close to 20,000 when it's all said and done. But you have to remember, last year there was 360 million to be awarded and aprox. 6000 applicants were awarded........this year there is twice the amount of money available and a better chance to receive an award. GOOD LUCK to all that applied.

So it's not just me! I'm a glutton for punishment, too, I guess...wrote one for my own department and two for other departments. I'm keeping Vegas odds on them.

Well, I started this thread and I submitted at 11:00 Am Central time.
    My application # is 6175.

looks like a 1000 since last night.

Any guess on how many total will be submitted?
The release from FEMA says they are getting alot of requests for exstensions, but are not granting any, Good for those who have submitted, Bad for those who have not.

Just posted 73## myself. Thought the dang number would show up in the application, so all I know is that it's over 7300. Details. After the deadline is up I'll have to start a poll to see who is going for what. With the number of applications down maybe we'll all get lucky and they'll have more money in the pot than in requests.

And if anyone wants to post a narrative and chalk it up to a learning experience I'll open up my web site again. Just email it to me in Word or any text format and I'll post it. Just make sure that the department name and location is on it somewhere.

I'll stick them on the same page at www.firegraphics.org/grants.htm

    Email: brianv@firegraphics.org

    Good luck y'all.
