Our old tempest fan with a Kawasaki engine needs carb work and no parts are available. Looking for a new fan and need input on what to buy. Please help!:rolleyes:

Well........
IF, you have a generator on the apparatus to run it, go electric. We have both, and I prefer electric over gas any time. For one thing, Electric fans do not pump CO into the bldg. Electrics are quieter, too. On another point, remember that "Positive Pressure" is a tactical measure, not a type of fan. ANY fan could be a positive pressure fan, it's all in how you use it. Stay Safe....

That all depends. I've seen a fan designed as a smoke ejector do a fair job during PPV operations. However, I've seen a couple of guys try to use a "PPV" fan as a smoke ejector. The latter attempt failed miserably.Originally posted by hwoods
