I was talking to a chief in my dept. in florida and we were talking about fires. I said thatIm a stemwhacker when it comes to fire calls. He was confused by the term stemwhacker so I tried explaining that it meant someone who gets excited over things fire related..(i guess).
What he couldnt figure out and what i didnt know was what Stemwhacker actually means... does anyone have a clue on this?

I dont even think its a yankee term, but the best way to expain it is when someone get phyically stimulated by fire calls and such, tell him its kind of like whacking your bag
cause realistically thats what it means whacking your stem
