The Commission on Fire Prevention and Control regrets to announce the passing of Ron Keane today following a brief illness. Ron was a long time Commission and Connecticut Fire Academy staff member and retired Lieutenant from the Hartford Fire Department.
A wake/service will be held at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels on Shaker Road in Enfield.
Also a separate public Fire Service Memorial Service in Mr. Keane's honor will be conducted at the Connecticut Fire Academy during the June Fire School on Friday evening, June 6.
More detailed information will be published as it becomes available.

Ron Keane was a program manager at the CT Fire Academy and did a lot for the training of firefighters. He will be missed.

A wake/service for Ron Keane will be held at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels at 43 Shaker Road in Enfield. A calling hour will be held on Sunday, April 6, from 1 - 2 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 2 PM.
Directions to Browne Memorial Funeral Chapel:
>From I 91 North:
I 91 North to Exit 48. Take a right off of the exit to Route 220 East. Follow Route 220 East for approximately 1 1/4 miles. Browne's will be on your left.
>From I 91 South:
I 91 South to Exit 48. Take a left off of the exit to Route 220 East. Follow Route 220 East for approximately 1 1/4 miles. Browne's will be on your left.
