Three teenagers were killed Thursday in a one-vehicle accident just off Route 30 in Hempfield Township.
State police in Greensburg said excessive speed was to blame for the crash that occurred at 10:05 p.m. Police said the driver lost control while traveling on Route 30 near the Cedar Street exit. The 1996 Eagle Talon went through a fence and struck tree.
Killed were the driver, Brett Al-Salih, 18, of the Greensburg area, and two Indiana County teens: Nicole A. McKendrick, 17, of Blacklick, and Jennifer Renee Bost, 16, of Blairsville.
None of the teens was wearing a seatbelt, according to police.
