Brothers and Sister I need your Help and Suggestions. Our Union Firefighters have been looking at improving the safety of the community be going to a 24 hour Combination Department. We currently employ 25 Career Firefighters, and roughly 65 Part-Paid Firefighters or Volunteers. The Career Firefighters work on a 8-12 hour rotating shift supplimented by the Part-Paid Firefighters (only a few actually show up for day calls if at all)and the the Part-Paid members take over after the Full time members leave. The part-time members have thier own rank structure as does the Part Paid members. THere is much anamosity toward each other, I need some suggestions on ending this problem and getting back to the problem at hand, PROTECTING THE COMMMUNITY.
