im not bashing anyone...just giving my opinion ... in this situation if ems had to give medical attention to the kid on the scene than they wouldnt be able to give all attention to the call that they were on. i mean, yes he should have recieved medical attention, the cheif was infact very wrong by carrying out those actions but it still all falls back on being responsible for yourself...legally responsible, a minor does not have that ability. not because of anything else besides the law and his age.

To the young man with the medical condition, you were very wrong in what you did. You should have never been on scene KNOWING that you had not taken your meds. By doing this, you ENDANGERED EVERYONE at the scene. What happens if you go down while on a hose and cause a fellow firefighter to get injured? What if you were inside the structure and go down while it's still on fire? You were WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.

I also know that the chief was wrong in sending you home. But you didn't have to leave, and you didn't have to be so retarted as to walk 3 miles in full structural PPE. Some of the other firefighters should have stepped in and taken care of your situation. They were also WRONG. The most important factor in this situation is YOU! YOU COULD HAVE PREVENTED THE WHOLE SITUATION. You started the fire, all the cheif did was add a little fuel, then you added even more!

Did I mention that no one can control your LIFE but you? You were WRONG!

Hey, 1219. Chill. Calling him retarted only makes you the @ss because your not helping anything. I think he was told several times already and he KNOWS he shouldn't have done it.

AS you can see from my reply to this original post, the incident made my blood boil. This is just pathetic.
